Shelly Lynn
Shelly Lynn was raised in the small town of Ansonia,
about 35 miles northwest of Dayton, Ohio. Being
influenced by her music loving family including her
Grandpa Johnny Grey, who had performed along side Hank
Snow. She has been blessed to have a family and friend
base, as well as many local fans, that try to make it to
most all of her performances. She started singing at a
young age in church. At the age of 21, Shelly entered a
local karaoke contest and won it hands down. It was at
that moment she realized what was missing in her life.
Within a week she purchased enough equipment to start
doing her own shows in numerous local clubs and other
various private events, which she still keeps up with on
a regular schedule today. Shelly has participated in
many contests over the years (including winning one at
the Nashville Palace in 2001, and placed in the top two
in many others.) She also won a contest to sing as
part of the opening act for Ronnie Milsap at The Fraze
Pavilion in Kettering, Ohio in 2002.
In
2003, Shelly Lynn met Mark Olivarious, of the OMG Music
Group, traveling to Nashville to take her career to the
next level. She had the opportunity to sing at The Stage
and Legends Corner. By 2006, Shelly had picked out her
first three singles. "Sacrifice," the third song on her
demo, was released in January 2008, with the other two,
"A Day Late and a Diamond Short" and "Every Woman," to
be released soon. She will be available for digital
download in April.
Currently Shelly is working on writing new songs of her
own. As well as performing locally, she "loves to see
people having fun and loving life through song."
Shelly Lynn is working to complete on full album in the
near future, and was signed with JRA Music Group in
2007.
